As a CCS Provider Katie provides Service Facilitation and Individual Skill Development and Enhancement. During her work in community and educational settings, Katie has had the opportunity to work with children and families across all ages.
Katie earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Green-Bay. Following her schooling, Katie worked in a residential facility as a team lead. The residential treatment program provided intensive services for youth ages 10-17 years old. Katie then moved to Milwaukee where she worked with children and families. During that time Katie received her master’s degree from the University of Milwaukee in Social Work with an emphasis in Children and Families. Katie also pursued getting her license as a School Social Worker.
Katie has had the opportunity to work across several school Districts in Wisconsin. Katie started her School Social Worker career in the Milwaukee Public Schools where she worked in a comprehensive and alternative high school settings. Katie moved to Madison three years ago and has been a School Social Worker in the Madison Metropolitan School District for the past couple years. Katie is passionate about working with students and their families. Katie believes in incorporating a holistic approach when working with students and looks to team with their families as well as community providers.
