Claire has over 30 years of experience in social work/counseling and education working with adults, children and families. In addition to a bachelor’s degree in social work from the University College of Dublin, Ireland and a master’s degree in counseling from University of Wisconsin- Platteville, Claire has numerous certificates/diplomas and specialized training in a variety of areas. She has worked in many different settings such as education, mental health, substance abuse, suicide prevention, adoption and grief support.

In her work, Claire believes everyone is worthy of love, compassion and recovery. Claire uses a person-centered and strength-based psychosocial approach, that is free of judgement and focuses on the client’s strengths to help them reach the goals they feel will benefit their lives and improve the quality of their overall mental health and well-being. Through Claire’s education, work and personal experiences, she has learned the tremendous value of walking with others through their struggles, obstacles and trauma and believes there are many pathways to recovery and well-being. She brings compassion, empathy and understanding and years of experience to the CCS team.
