Jeff’s role as a professional counselor is to assist individuals with improving their sense of wellbeing and safety in the world, and with reducing psychological suffering. Regardless of past experiences or present hardship, Jeff is a firm believer in the mind and body’s capacity for healing, and that a satisfying and purposeful existence is possible and within reach for us all. With a depth of insight and understanding from both personal and professional experience, Jeff is a passionate ally who enjoys teaming up with individuals who are feeling alone, stuck, hopeless, or just confounded by life’s difficulties.
Inspired by personal experience with neurodivergence and an insatiable desire to understand the mechanics of his own psychological distress, Jeff earned his Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling, and has been working in the mental health field since 2011.
Currently Jeff serves adults, and teens ages 16+, and has experience working with individuals of varying walks of life, and with varying patterns of difficulty, including but not limited to: anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, Autism (level 1), interpersonal/relationship difficulties, major life transitions, substance use, grief and rage.
Jeff individualizes the specific treatment approach and interventions to the unique needs of the client, relying on a collaborative approach built on the foundations of trust and respect, while drawing from the transdiagnostic and evidence-based modalities of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), as well as Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
