Jeff’s role as a professional counselor is to assist individuals in improving the quality of their life experience, while reducing psychological suffering. This process might include: identifying and accessing personal strengths and resources, improving relationships, addressing disruptive patterns of thinking and behaving, processing painful or uncomfortable experiences, and addressing environmental issues or barriers.

Jeff is a firm believer in the power of recovery and that, regardless of past experience or present hardship, a satisfying and purposeful existence is possible and within reach.

With insight and understanding learned from personal and professional experience, Jeff is a passionate ally who enjoys teaming up with individuals who are feeling alone, stuck, hopeless, or just confounded by life’s difficulties.

Jeff holds a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and a Master’s in Clinical Counseling (LPC). He has been working in the mental health field since 2011 beginning his career working with adolescents in a residential community facility and a crisis hotline counselor at night. Over the past ten years Jeff has assisted individuals of all ages working extensively with adolescents and their families.

Jeff individualizes the specific treatment approach to the unique needs of each client using a collaborative approach built on a foundations of trust and respect. Interventions draw from the transdiagnostic and evidence-based modalities of Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Jeff’s training in the Art of Jiu-Jitsu provide clients with the advantage of an integrative Mind-Body recovery rich experience. Jeff has a personal and professional commitment to excellence that makes him a sought-after provider for youth, adults and families.
