LPC Psychotherapy, ISDE
(she/her/hers)

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Mary provides psychotherapy services to adults with the aim of helping them find a greater sense of peace and freedom in their lives.

Whether the specific goal is wanting to work through difficult feelings, letting go of hurtful/harmful behaviors, or wishing to experience greater confidence and joy in everyday life, the therapy she provides is rooted in a practice of learning to listen deeply to and care for oneself. It’s about tending to the parts of ourselves that have been hurt by traumas big and small. It’s most essentially about healing ourselves through love. And, yes, she does, absolutely, believe that is available to everyone.

Becoming a therapist was a midlife change for Mary. Previously, she’d found a home supporting women during labor and birth and during the postpartum period. And in an earlier iteration of life, she worked in special education. She’s always found great pleasure in getting to know people from all walks of life and considers it a privilege to accompany others on their unfolding stories of healing and recovery.

Both personal experience and professional learning guide Mary’s work. In addition to supporting individuals with mood and anxiety challenges, she also enjoys supporting people in healing and recovery from addictions, trauma, and chronic pain. Mary provides LGBTQ+ affirming therapy and welcomes individuals from all backgrounds.
