Brendan served as the lead group facilitator at Journey’s Bayside crisis center before becoming a Skills Coach and Service Facilitator in CCS. While completing his Master of Social Work at the University of Wisconsin Brendan also interned at the William S. Middleton Veterans Hospital in its renowned Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Clinic.
Brendan has been a mindfulness practitioner for over 15 years. He is currently training in the top two evidence-based therapies for PTSD: Cognitive Processing Therapy & Prolonged Exposure Therapy.
Brendan is a proponent of Dr. Martin Seligman’s PERMA-V model, which is a strengths-focused framework for emotional, physical, and social wellbeing. Brendan enjoys working with people of all backgrounds, though he has a special interest in helping teens and adults overcome anxiety and trauma-related disorders.
